As soon as the M&A process is initiated, the role of Rewards team comes into play, where they start from devising the compensation due diligence (as part of HR due diligence), to the post M&A rewards framework integration of the human capital based on the parent organization. So, we help the organization at each step of the M&A process right up till post-merger/acquisition integration.
Below are some of the rewards areas of focus during the M&A exercise:
- Due diligence of rewards practices - pre merger/acquisition
- Designing retention plan or transaction bonus for critical staff
- Developing integration plan of reward framework (pay, grades, titles, benefits, incentive plans, end of services indemnities, etc.)
- Review the acquired/merged entity’s organizational architecture and internal reward philosophy
